Intellectual Property Conditions
All Rights to the artwork remain the property of SARAH SLATER including after completed purchase. This includes the purchase of originals, prints, commissions, and current and/or future reproductions of any kind.
The purchase of any item, original or otherwise, does not grant the customer/collector any permission to mint the piece off into an NFT, products, print and distribute in any form or reproduce in any way by means of profit and/or otherwise.
Collectors may not reproduce the artwork in any way. Posting images and videos of the collected items purchased on social media are always welcome and does not breach these conditions.
Liability
The Artist is not liable for goods once they have been received and in the possession of the collector. It is not the Artist duty to refund, exchange, replace or compensate for the damage of products that have been mishandled by the collector. For instance: creasing the works, smudging fingerprints, rips and tears of fine art prints, damaging to the works, etc...
As guaranteed under consumer protections, compensation for damage is due if/when damaged products are received when impacted by postal services and/or faulty merchandise has been dispatched. For Quality Control every artwork / fine art print is inspected quite a few times over before packaging for shipment.
Please read all product descriptions thoroughly. It is not the Artist duty to compensate customers who do not read the information provided on the product description page prior to purchase. All fine art prints come with borders that are included in the final size of the listing and are shipped in a mailer tube unless otherwise stated or purchased with an original artwork, that is delivered in a box.
Refunds & Returns
If there is an issue with your order, please contact the Artist! Below are the Artist policies on returns for each product. The Studio will honour a 7 day return policy only on eligible products. There are many quality checks done to ensure colour matching is accurate to the original artwork for the photography of each product. Please take note and be conscious that outcomes often vary between devices. If colour matchings are of uncertainty, Artist recommends viewing the artwork from multiple devices - computer desktop, iPhone, etc..
To be eligible for a return, your purchased item made direct from the artist studio, must be in the same condition that you received it.
Open Edition and Limited Edition Fine Art Prints - eligibility varies: Open edition and Limited edition Fine Art Prints are extremely fragile. The Artist quality control and high sanitary standards are very strict and most fine art prints cannot be re-sold upon return. Only if prints are unhandled and in their original packaging with sticker seal still intact, will they be eligible for return. If returned prints are deemed unfit upon inspection for any reason, the Artist reserves the right to deny any refund.
Originals - not eligible: All original artwork purchases are deemed final, they come with a special Certificate of Authenticity and the Artist, Sarah personally pays a large amount to ship them with insurance, still remaining with their original stretchers directly to your door via trusted large courier companies.
We do not offer returns, refunds or any exchanges for change of mind purchases. Under the Australia’s consumer protection laws, shipping fees on any and all returned items within good faith are NOT covered by the studio. Only faulty merchandise or products not covered under consumer guarantee will return shipment be paid by the Artist Sarah Slater.
Shipping Policy
Artist, Sarah Slater studio team is currently a solo one person operation and is dedicated to shipping your orders out as soon as possible. Notifications will be sent out via email with any major delays.
Packages may still be delayed during this time due to the impacts of COVID-19.
Please take note that there could be longer than normal delivery times in the Australia Post delivery system and delays may occur.
Currently, the Artist cannot offer express shipping.
If you need a change of address for your package, the studio must be alerted within 24 hours of purchase in order to guarantee a redirection. We are unable to change the address once it has dispatched from our studio. Please contact us as soon as possible via the website or email sarahslaterart@yahoo.com.au with order details.
Artist, Sarah Slater is not responsible for undelivered packages based on incorrect shipping address information given by the customer. Please ensure that you provide the complete and correct postal addresses during checkout.
Duties and taxes
The Art studio is operating in Western Australia and is not liable for import fees on any products purchased. This includes but is not limited to the all fine art prints, original artworks, commissioning of a custom piece/s and any merchandise.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Any applicable taxes and duties are not included in the checkout total. These are determined by the customs agency in the destination country. Some countries charge import taxes while others do not. The customs agency will notify the recipient either by mail, phone, or email to pay these charges, so that the shipment can continue onto its destination.
It is the sole responsibility of the purchasing customer to pay any duties, value added tax or other similar charges. If you refuse to pay these additional amounts, your delivery will be returned to us. Provided that the product is in its original condition, we will refund you the cost of your purchase (minus the costs of shipping and insurance to your country, upon the art studio receipt of shipment, this includes free shipping). Shipping fees are covered in any order when over AUD$100. If any order is returned to the art studio that included free shipping then the refund amount will be less shipping cost than order total, as there was a refusal to pay any duty and custom fees.
IMPORTANT: Items are declared at purchase value for exporting and under no circumstance will documents be misled or falsified.
